Before ordering we recommend you fold the shirt or arrange it roughly how you intend it to look in the frame, and then measure it so that you can order a suitable size frame.

We have illustrated an adult size "medium" Irish rugby shirt in our size 1 display frame to give you an idea, and a small Cornwall rugby shirt in a compact 40x40 frame below, smaller frames are usually fine for all but the biggest shirts, and great if are starting a collection.

tip in our smaller display case frames (Compact 40x40 and size 1 60x50 shown below) the spacer actually holds the shirt in place, no pins needed. the "spare" parts of the shirt fold around the special foamcore® inner backing boards and are held securely by the backing of the case frame. No special skills or tools needed! In larger cases the item can be pinned into the edges of the foamcore back or sewn through securely.

Specification above is with safe styrene acrylic glazing  (Styrene Acrylic is standard, and heavy duty styrene is also available as an optional extra) custom made in the above sizes, or custom made to your own required sizes for the same price "up to" the different sizes available. Spacers are  natural  timber, which you can paint if you wish. Frames come ready assembled. You fit your own item into the frame. all fittings are included, no special tools required* (see full info here)  size given refers to the approx internal frame size (glazing size) the overall frame is approx. 50mm larger than this all round (50mm = approx. 2") We supply the frames with picture cord to hang them as standard, traditional brassed picture wire is available if you prefer.

We very strongly recommend styrene glazing instead of glass if the frame is to be hung anywhere where there may be children or if on commercial premises. Better safe than sorry. We cannot send glass by carriers.

Hand polished finishes below are optional - please note that grain patterns and finished appearance can vary as timber is a natural product. Shown below = dark brown and medium brown waxed & polished finish. The plain timber finish is hand finished and sanded, and can be left as-is, or you can stain or paint it yourself leter.

Delivery- please allow 7 to 10 working days - as these are individually built to order.  We despatch by ANC carriers to UK mainland (except highlands and islands which are by Royal Mail or other carriers)  Delivery by carrier is signed for and insured.   All frames are very securely packed.

Assembly: the frames come ready assembled, but are easily taken apart without any tools, to paint the spacer or change the item on display if desired. Syrene glazing come with a protective plastic sheet, which you do need to peel off both sides. *A small posidrive type screwdriver is also needed to put your own fittings on before hanging on the frame on your wall. You will fit your own shirt into the item, and we supply a white faced foamcore® or Correx board inner onto which you can pin or sew the shirt quite easily.

You are very welcome indeed to make any enquiries before ordering.  We always respond to email enquiries as promptly as we can, although this may take some time when we are busy, and we are more than pleased to answer any questions about these items.
