We have been framing for customers, artists and the gallery trade for many years, to a standard more than acceptable to artists hanging work in the Royal Academy as well as the top local galleries, and at the same  or better prices than charged inferior "jobbing" framing elsewhere. Unlike the home or "garage framers" that abound, we are fully insured and hold good stocks of all consumables like glass, mount board and frame mouldings. We have many years experience in all types of framing, and make up to 1,000s frames per year for shop customers, artists and online customers.

What can be framed?

Artwork: Paintings, pastels, charcoal, pencil drawings, plans, maps, prints, watercolour, photographs etc.  3D objects: Coins, Medals, decoupage, football shirts, collectibles, special presentation items. Bespoke Framing

Our One Hour Framing service is available from 10am to 4pm daily for retail customers. Usual turnaround for standard framing is one week, although we can usually accomodate next day or same day if urgent. We aim to suit your requirements.  All frames are made to Fine Art Trade Guild specifications. We keep large stocks of mount board and mouldings, displayed at our framing counter to suit all tastes and budgets.

Artists' Framing

We frame for a very large number of Cornwall's artists. We can supply frames for self fit (fit your own pictures) in any quantities required, or provide a full service. We can also supply plain timber frames for artists to colour themselves. We have in stock one of the largest ranges of mouldings in the area, and many of thesed are exclusive to us. We can normally match any moulding.

Heirlooms

	Medal cases - we can make these with opening backs, if required, so that the medals can be worn with pride at the appropriate times and safely displayed at home protected from dust and interference in a custom made frame. We are pleased to be able to match any regimental, squadron or generic service colours required  from our large range of mount boards.

Mounts

Mounts are available in all regular sizes and colours off the shelf to fit stock sized frames at regular image sizes. We have an online mount facility here

Custom Mounts We also custom cut individual mounts, including ovals, circular, multi window etc.

Quantity Mount Cutting Trade mount cutting for artists and galleries is one of our long established services. We can supply mounts with or without backing.

Fit and Wrap service For the trade, or artists publishing their own prints we can also fit the print into the mounts, back and wrap individually ready for resale.

Glass & Mirror, Re-Glazing and Frame Repairs

Large stocks of top quality picture float glass and mirror up to full sheet size available. We can usually cut glass and mirror while you wait. We also re-glaze pictures and mirrors. We stock non-reflective glass, clear acylic styrene, and also suitable backing materials for all pictures and mirrors (Kraft board, Corricor, MDF etc). All glass is machine cut for accuracy on an S4000 machine. We can reglaze and repair damaged frames, including new fittings/hangings, dust seals etc.

Gallery Framing Many artists, at the request of galleries, specify white finish frames in "the local style".   Shown left is an original painting on board, surface mounted onto a white backing board in a deep profile (50mm) obeche wood "box" frame finished in white acrylic

Fabrics

We use a stretching machine to lightly stretch/square up needlework etc as required. This process adds a little time to the job, but it is well worth it.  Fabrics may then be mounted for framing in various ways appropriate to the subject (stretched over MDF, stretched over padding, stretcher bars, or mounted on adhesive acid-free board). We cannot guarantee to get any fabric (particularly needlework) perfectly square however!

Restoration

Cleaning and restoration work on clients jobs is done by the well known expert Mr. Warren Fisher who has many years experience in art and restoration.  Times for return and rates vary according to the job, but quote is always given first. 

Stretching

We can stretch canvases (paintings etc) and many fabrics onto stretcher bars for framing.  We are also listed with Angel Digital as specialists who can stretch new large format canvas prints for framing.

Retail and Trade Discounts & Services

Discounts start at 10% off for 2 or more frames for anyone, full trade prices start at quantities of 20 frames or more, although this is flexible for regular customers. (including artists and galleries) We are seldom beaten on overall price/value/quality, and unlike many newer competitors locally we are extremely reliable for delivery times quoted, and quality delivered.
