Picture Framer, Full time
Requirements:
Able to work to fine art trade guild standards. Experienced/time served or commended
framer, or experienced assistant framer required.
A good
knowledge of the usual framing materials
We are a
very busy workshop. some heavy lifting is involved, particularly glass
deliveries. board and mouldings.
hours
10-5 Monday to Friday -overtime is often available
pay
rates are above average for guild framer (based on FATG survey)
up to 4
weeks paid holiday entitlement
must be
familiar with operation/calibration and day to day adjustment & use of standard
framing machinery including: Morso, Bambi air, pneumatic underpinners, air and hand
operated point tools, system 4000 and fully conversant with
Wizard Mat Designer software and machine operation.

would suit someone who can work tidily, and produce consistent decent quality work to
deadlines, see a job through from start to finish, and use their initiative. A lot
of our work is for artists and photographers exhibitions, as well as bespoke framing for
the general public, including many 100s of valued repeat customers, plus a lot of mount
cutting for internet orders, and the trade.
